Growing in Unity Day 5 ~ Spark

Hi there and Welcome to Day 5! I have really enjoyed sharing my CAS creations with you all this week and I have truly appreciated all the wonderful comments that you have written me...Yesterday I wrote that about making a fun New Year gift and with one of Unity's newest kits...

Spark by Graciellie Design...when I saw this kit I knew it would be perfect for a New Year Gift...

With a new year comes changes ( good and bad sometimes too) and new beginnings...when I saw the caterpillar and butterfly in this kit and the beautiful sentiments in this kit this is what I ended up making for a friend of mine...she has had a rough school year so far and I am hoping with the new year things will get better for her...the two sentiments I have chosen for this project I feel will remind her that no matter what happens tomorrow is a new day...

For the background I used watercolor paper that I buy from Michael's and black StazOn to stamp the caterpillar, butterfly, and sentiment and once again I used my aqua painter to paint the caterpillar and buttefly...I adhered the calendar using double sided tape...for the butterfly, two of the leaves, and the branch I stamped on the paper and then stamped again on another piece of water color paper and then "fussy cut" them and then used puffy dots to adhere them onto the paper...

 Once again I did the same thing here like I did with the branch and some of the leaves on the background of the calendar..

I stamped the inside of the card with StazOn...

I really liked how it all turned out...as you call can tell I am definitely a CAS kind of gal when it comes to my creations...my friends often tell me that they are "Simply Sweet"

Day 4 Growing in Unity ~ Holiday Cheers

Hi there and Welcome back to Day 4! As promised I have another fun holiday gift that would make a fun hostess gift for that holiday party you are going to! I used this set...Cheers by  Tierra Jackson

When I saw this set I knew I needed to add it to my wine stamp collection...

Here is what I came up with

For the wine tag I used watercolor paper and my aqua pens to color it in...I used Stazon Black ink...it doesn't run or smear when you used watercolors...

I also used Stazon since it doesn't run either!

I have several CD tin boxes that fit my coasters perfectly...great use for a hostess gift idea!

Here it is all together...

Day 3 Growing in Unity ~ Celebrating with Friends

Hi there and Welcome back to Day 3! As I wrote yesterday tis' the season of making gift for friends...well I have another gift idea for your friends who love wine...I have several gal pals whom I love to sit around with to share a bottle or two...sometimes three! We have great conversations and lots of laughter...so for those occasions Unity's wine stamps are a perfect pair for their gifts...

Here is the latest wine stamp that I have added to my collection...

Friends I Can't Forget by Angie Blom...

My friends love receiving wine bottle tags and coasters (this time just coasters...come back for more tomorrow! )...the coasters I use are corkscrew ones from Amazon and I use StazOn black ink...no it doesn't run when it get wet!

For the notecard I used watercoloring paper...I am a big fan of using aqua pens and watercolors these days...

Day 2 Growing in Unity ~ Cup of Joy

Hi there and Welcome back to Day 2! Tis the season of making gifts for my friends...I have several friends who love coffee so I will be making a more before I have my Christmas Break...I used this cute set Joy to Go by Angie Blom

For this gift I made a mini gift bag as the envie and some from Christmas ribbon that I got from Michael's..I used watercolor paints and watercolor paper for this along with some fun red polka dot paper to go along with the fun ribbon...

Day 1 Growing In Unity ~ 25 Days of Christmas

Hi there and Welcome to my first day as one of the GIU Gals...This is my third time doing this and I am super excited to share my projects this week! As most of you know I am  CAS kind of gal...Clean and Simple...

Today I am sharing my Advent Calendar...I used Advent(full) Season by Joclyn Nielson

Here is the set below...

I love this set and made this Advent Calendar using mini kraft bags that I got at Michael's...once my friends saw it they all wanted one...I have made several of them over the years...I always start early because December 1st always sneaks up on me!

Here is it together using twine and mini clothes pins that I also got from Michael's...

Can You Case It #157

Hi and Welcome to this week's Can You Case It #157...for this week's sketch I pulled out one of the new sets from Stampin' Up! This Little Piggy...I was super excited to get this set when I was at On Stage...I love love love this set! 

Here is what I came up with...

Instead of using a traditional envie I used a kraft paper bag...I also added the pink ribbon to help pull out the card from the bag...

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

OSAT Clean and Simple Blog Hop

This theme is definitely up my alley as most of you know I am a CAS kind of gal...

For this moth's hop I used one of my fav SU! sets...Dragonfly Dreams...I love love love this set...

Here is what I made...

My card was "pinspired" from Pinterest...I had hit the wall when deciding how to make my card...I saw lots of fun ideas and this one jumped out at me...I love how black looks "pops" with kraft...and I do love a kraft card! Once I made the card and tag I thought this would go perfect with a bouquet of flowers...these flowers are an early Mother's Day gift from my hubby and son :)

Hi there and Welcome to this month's Savvy 7 & Friends Blog Hop ~ April Showers Bring May Flowers!

For this month's hop I made a cute card and tag for that one friend that makes your day a lot more brighter...I think that the tag would be perfect for a fun bouquet of flowers...The stamps I used are from Unity's Kit of the Month from March...

I water colored the flowers with ink from Stampin' Up...I love the color combo that I chose!

Can You Case It? #155

Hi there and Welcome to this week's Can You Case It #155 ~ Sketch by Eva

For this week's challenge I made a card and a candle...I actually made the candle for my Stamp Club but made a different card from the original one to match the sketch...actually this card is not too far off from the original! 

Here is what I made

I used Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams...I love dragonflies so when I saw this set I needed it!

Stamping on a candle is new to me...so it melted a little but it still turned out not too shabby!

For this week's Sketch I pulled another fav Unity Stamp...Not only do I love this simplicity of this stamp but the sentiment is so meaningful...

Here is my project...

I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink for the stamp and ink...I picked out the ink first and started playing around with different patterned paper...I love how it turned out!

CYCI #152 ~ Coffee Break

Hi there and Welcome to this week's Can You Case #152 Color Challenge by Amber...

I love these colors! I went a little bit out of my comfort zone with this week's challenge...I usually don't mix patterns but after several different patterns I liked how these two went together...

 For this project I made a pocket tag and a coffee coaster for a friend of mine who is a big time coffee lover..I used Spring To Go by Angie Blom...I love this pocket tag by American Crafts DIY line and the coaster I bought off of Amazon and I love them and my friends love them too! And for the "coffee rings" on the coaster I used the metal top of a mason jar... I figured I would pop a Starbucks GC in the pocket...she does love her coffee and she does deserve a break from her hectic life and take a moment to look around...

Savvy 7 & Friends ~ Birthday

Hi there and Welcome to this month's blog hop ~ Birthday! For this month's blog hop I made a few wine tag and coasters for a friend of mine who is turning the big 4-0!!! We plan on having a fun birthday weekend including a visit to her fav winery and I know how much she loves my tags and coasters...

Here is what I made for our fun girls weekend

The fun wine glass is from Riley and Company...I stamped it with StazOn and for the wine in the glass I used my SU! ink and a water coloring blender pen...the fun sentiment is from Avery Elle...Sip Sip Hooray and then I added a bit of bling with some sequins...I love how it all turned out and I can't wait to have her see it!
